Upper Copper Valley, Alaska: Road-Accessible Fishing, Canoeing, Hiking
he
Copper River Valley is famed for its trails. In the winter,
its historic dog mushing trails still connect the region's
roadhouses and communities. In the summer, the Valley is
known for its river trails. It has seven road-accessible
river and lake trail systems: the Tangle Lakes-Delta, Gulkana,
Nelchina-Tazlina, Klutina, Tonsina, Lake Louise, and Copper
River systems. It also sits on the perimeter of Wrangell
St-Elias National Park, the largest (and perhaps least-known)
of the United States' National Parks. |
