Kasilof-Clam Gulch, Alaska: Traveling Along Alaska's Ring of Fire

and Clam Gulch are situated along the Sterling Highway as
it winds its way to Homer. The drive is one of the most
scenic in Alaska, offering stunning views of the dramatic
"ring of fire" made up of active volcanoes encircling
the Kenai Peninsula across the water. In addition to the
scenery, Kasilof is renowned for its fishing; Clam Gulch,
as the name implies, for its razor clams, which may be dug
at low tide. The scenery is spectacular any time of year.
