Hope, Alaska: Take a Day Trip Down Turnagain Arm

can take a day trip to Hope from Anchorage. It's right across
Turnagain Arm. Follow the Seward Highway 71 miles to the
Hope Road turnoff. Then follow the road 18 miles - to a
real gold rush town. Don't rush too fast, though; slow down
for a cup of cocoa or coffee at one of Hope's cafes. |
