Denali State Park, Alaska: Stop at Visitor Shelters

the weather is good, there's a panoramic view of the Alaska
Range and Mt. McKinley from this sod-roofed visitor shelter
at Mile 135 Parks Highway. As you may notice, however, Mt.
McKinley's height traps clouds and obscures the view. Fortunately,
this has the effect of making the photographic display of
the mountains even more interesting. Another good mountain
viewpoint is at Mile 162.3. |
