Denali National Park, Alaska: Seeing Bears

n this photo, a future park ranger poses in front of a mural of a windy hillside with a mother grizzly and her cubs. The visitor center also features an interactive "backcountry simulator" that will help you anticipate how to avoid bear confrontations. And by the way, your chances of actually seeing a bear while you're in the park are very high -- higher than your chances of seeing Mt. McKinley itself! You have a 95% chance of seeing a bear in the park. Your chance of seeing Mt. McKinley, on the other hand, is between 25 and 30% -- 70% of the time, it is covered in clouds. Your chances of seeing a wolf in the park are around 10%.
