Denali National Park, Alaska: Tip, Visit the Visitor Center
his
is the outside of the Denali Park Visitor Center. You should
come here first to orient yourself to the park. You will
find large displays, reservation desks for camping and shuttle
buses, a bookstore, and helpful park rangers. The displays
will explain a lot of the things you'll be seeing on your
trip into Denali, including Denali's bears. Be sure to check
out the bulletin board by the door for scheduled presentations
and hikes. A favorite presentation is the sled dog demonstration,
which happens three time every day: at 10 am, 2 pm and 4
pm. You'll want to catch the free shuttle to the kennels
from the visitor center a half hour before demonstration
time. Finally, parking your car isn't a problem: the visitor
center parking lot has plenty of spaces for large vehicles. |
