Denali Highway, Alaska: Wilderness Along the Alaska Range
he
Denali Highway, a 135-mile stretch of road from Paxson to
Cantwell, takes you into some of the wildest regions of
Alaska, under the shadow of the Alaska Range. There's excellent
grayling fishing along the entire route, and as the road
winds along, it has hundreds of spectacular viewpoints,
and provides a good opportunity for seeing wildlife. The
first twenty miles of the road are paved to Tangle Lakes,
and there are two campgrounds at the end of the paved road. |
